Oncology / Cancer Biology

Oncology and Cancer Biology research at the Center uses advanced imaging technologies to reveal the biological behavior of tumors and their response to therapy. Investigators apply MRI, PET, molecular imaging, and hybrid approaches to characterize tumor metabolism, vascularity, cellular density, hypoxia, and immune activity across cancers of the brain and body. By linking imaging biomarkers with tumor biology and treatment outcomes, this work supports earlier detection, more precise staging, personalized therapy planning, and real-time assessment of therapeutic effectiveness.
