Mental health research at the Center uses advanced brain imaging and computational approaches to better understand the biological foundations of psychiatric and behavioral disorders. Investigators apply cutting-edge MRI, PET, and multimodal imaging techniques to study brain structure, connectivity, neurochemistry, and circuit function in conditions such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, substance use disorders, and trauma-related illness. By identifying objective biomarkers and clarifying how brain networks change with treatment and recovery, this work supports earlier diagnosis, more personalized interventions, and improved strategies for promoting resilience and mental well-being.
