The Martinos Center is home to full-time Ph.D. and Master’s students in a host of disciplines: from Physics and Chemistry to Biology, Neuroscience and Psychology. The breadth of research at the Center provides many opportunities for students to find a lab that suits their interests. You can learn more about Martinos investigators and their areas of interest on the Investigators page.
We welcome students from universities across Boston as well as visiting students from non-local institutions. Many of our students are or have been enrolled in the programs below. Please note, though: you do not need to be enrolled in one of these programs to work at the Center.
The MGH Martinos Center often offers training programs through which qualified students can receive support. Be sure to ask your faculty mentor about the programs available to you.
Getting to the Center
The Martinos Center’s home in the Charlestown Navy Yard might seem off the beaten path, but in fact there are many convenient ways to get to and from the Center:
- By train: the Red and Green lines and the commuter rail (North Station) connect to the MGH shuttle, which will drop you off right outside our front door.
- By bike: the Bluebikes bike share program has three nearby locations.
- By car: the Navy Yard is convenient to Cambridge, Somerville, Malden and more and is located just off Routes 1 and 93. Garage parking is available.
You can find more details and an interactive Google map on our Contact page.
