Julia Daugherty received her M.S. in Neuroscience and Pain from the University of Granada (Spain), where she is currently studying her doctoral degree in Psychology. To date, she has worked on research in the areas of cross-cultural psychology and the cultural biases of neuropsychological testing. Julia’s current research centers on brain injury and the neuropsychological consequences of intimate partner violence. As a part of her doctoral dissertation, she is working to develop a free and comprehensive neuropsychological assessment (Project Believe) to be used with females who have experienced intimate partner violence. She is now working in the Valera lab to validate a free and computerized effort test to support the testimonies of these women in forensic contexts.
